Match Preview: Medeama seek Berekum Chelsea win in final league clash

Medeama will seek to end the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League season on a high when they host Berekum Chelsea at the Akoon Park on Sunday.

The Mauve and Yellows will feel disappointed after failing to finish in the top four.

The two-time FA Cup holders will host the Blues seeking to end their campaign on a flying note.

Medeama will finish in 5th place if Aduana Stars negotiate their tie against Karela United at the Nana Agyemang Badu park.

It’s been a tumultuous campaign for the home side who were touted as one of the huge favourites for the league crown.

But the exit of coach Samuel Boadu and his assistant Hamza Obeng appeared to have affected their drive after missing out on the league crown.

Medeama lost 3-1 at Techiman Eleven Wonders under controversial circumstances last week to drop out of the top four race.

Chelsea managed a 2-1 win over Great Olympics at the Golden City Park in their last Premier League match.

Medeama will count on Prince Opoku Agyemang and Ebenezer Achkabi to end the season with another goal for the side since re-joining at the start of the season.

But they will be equally matched by Stephen Amankona and Bright Amponsah in the Blue shirts of Chelsea.
