Medeama could go second with victory at Liberty
Medeama SC will move to second on the table if they beat Liberty Professionals in Accra on Sunday.
The Mauves and Yellows have been transformed lately with some eye-catching performances that have seen them gone seven matches without defeat.
They come up against Professionals who have been bruised in five days.
The capital-based side were dealt a double-blow by Tema Youth by beating them 1-0 in the Premier League last weekend and bundled them out of the MTN FA Cup on Monday by a similar scoreline.
Confidence should be at a low-key as coach J.E Sarpong’s men host Medeama at the Sly Tetteh Memorial stadium.
Liberty have secured their stay in the top-flight but another defeat against the Tarkwa-based side could bring some last minute anxiety going into the final two matches.
But Medeama should be more motivated for the fixture seeing a victory could take them to the second position for the first time this season and give a clear indication of the kind of transformation they have gone through under head coach Bashir Hayford.
